| FINAL CALL FOR 2025 PENNANT NOMINATIONS If you have not already put your name down on the player nomination list and are interested in playing, even if it is only as a reserve, please do so ASAP. If you can’t get into the club to do this then you can send your details through to Cherrie Climas, so that your name can be included. The numbers are close to being able to put in 4 teams once again but not quite there so if you have not yet put your name down please consider doing it. The club’s strength in pennant is only as strong as the members and their commitment. Nomination sheets for players have been placed on the noticeboard near the Bowls’ Office. It would be wonderful to be able to continue and build on the success from the 2024 pennant season. . |
| 2024 END OF YEAR & CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION Arrangements are well underway for an end of year & christmas celebration to be held at the QRSLMBC Sunday 15th December 2024. Information about the event has been sent out to members. There is an RSVP sheet on the noticeboard near the Bowls’ Office. To help with catering and the organisation of the day it is important that anyone who plans on attending please put their details on the RSVP sheet.. > |
| QRSLMBC 2023/2024 BOWLS PRESENTATION NIGHT Our 2023 and 2024 club championship presentation will be held on the evening of Friday 17th January 2025. It would be wonderful to have as many of our bowling members as possible in attendance to help celebrate the achievements of our members and club. It will also be a great opportunity for us all to get together prior to the pennant season starting. Information and invitations to the event will be sent out next month. . |

| 2024 QUEANBEYAN RSLM BOWLING CLUB OPEN “SPRUSO” PAIRS RESULTS Held Saturday 7th & Sunday 8th September 2024. Thank you to all bowlers who entered the “Spruso” Tournament and to those wonderful volunteers who freely gave up their time over the weekend to help make the event so successful. The weather was perfect, as of course were the greens and it was fantastic to see a full complement of 42 teams entered. | URGENT – NEW CLUB UMPIRES & MEASURER’S NEEDED Thank you to those members who have indicated an interest in doing the Markers, Measurers & Umpires Courses. Having people being able to officiate at events is a vital part of our sport. For the Club to be able to host Bowls ACT Events and run Tournaments effectively we need to be able to provide umpires or measurer’s and sadly we are getting to the point where this is becoming increasingly difficult. As mentioned previously the coursework can be done in your own time on-line through Bowlslink and once this work is completed and recognised by Bowls ACT – there is a short on-green assessment to become accredited as a Marker, Measurer or Umpire. To find the online courses: (If you need help with this, please contact Leeanne Birch, but please try the following advice before contacting John or Leeanne Birch.) 1) Login to your Bowlslink account. 2) Locate Bowls Learn on the left hand side of the page. 3) Click button for Course Catalogue. 4) Click on the Officiating module that you wish to complete and follow the guidelines. For existing Measurer’s and Umpires who need to re-accredit; it is an open book and on-green assessment.
