MEMBERS BOWLS @ The QRSLMBC
|QRSLMBC GREENS NOW OPEN – BUT SUBJECT TO RESTRICTIONS
The Queanbeyan RSLM Bowling Club greens are now open via bookings but under strict conditions.
Under Covid-19 restrictions, participants must comply with our current return to play framework and have an understanding of the new bowling sessions information.
Just reminding bowling members that the club was closed to all members. As the club re-opens but under restrictions, if we stray outside this reopening framework you jeopardise access/use of the club not only to bowlers but all club members.
These documents will be reviewed regularly in line with Government advice.

|QRSLMBC RETURN TO PLAY FRAMEWORK
Please read and understand the attached “return to play framework” for the QRSLMBC.
Please read and understand this document, before enjoying your time on our Greens.
It is important that all club bowling members understand the QRSLMBC Framework for return to play in a COVID-Safe Environment.
It addresses the vulnerability of bowlers particularly age and health during these time. It also address the use of greens including Practice only, Bookings, Numbers, Physical Distancing, General Hygiene Measures, Monitoring and recording of attendance and use of greens, and Penalties.
Bowling members must understand that the club was closed to all members. As the club re-opens but under restrictions, if you stray outside this Framework you jeopardise access/use of the club not only to bowlers but all club members.
|CLOSURE OF THE QRSLMBC DUE TO COVID-19
The Queanbeyan RSLM Bowling Club is following the guidance & guidlines issued by Bowls ACT and Bowls Australia which has seen the suspension all Bowls ACT and Australian events.
The closure of the club it-self is because of the NSW Government restrictions put in place for the over-all health safety and welfare of all state residents – you and me.
The closure of the club, restaurant and club facilities is a licencing matter where any breach could see the club permanently closed or liable to substantial fines/penalties.
We hope that you understand that the QRSLMBC will work closely with the NSW government and the club will re-open when restrictions are removed and we can provide a safe, healthy, friendly environment that we can all enjoy.
Hopefully we will enjoy your company soon.
SUSPENSION OF ALL BOWLS ACT EVENTS
This involves Pennant’s, ACT Championships and Club Championships. This advice definitely relates to the next 2 rounds of Men & Women pennant, & the knock out rounds of Men & Women’s singles which will NOT proceed.
The halt will initially be in place until 31 March at which time the Board will review the situation & the measures that have been put in place to combat the spread of coronavirus. On the basis of this review, the Board will determine whether the halt will be maintained.
Please note that in the immediate short term, Bowls ACT are unable to provide advice as to whether current or future events will be cancelled, postponed, rescheduled or otherwise.
The Bowls ACT Board recognises that Member Clubs run their own events, including social bowls & tournaments. The Board requests Clubs to take full account of the guidance from Bowls Australia & the halt instituted by Bowls ACT in deciding on action in relation to their events.
Please see the attached Bowls ACT Circular and accompanying release from Bowls Australia.
